Carnac Boat Hire FAQs

Carnac Island is best enjoyed from December to April (summer to mid-spring) when the weather is hot, and the wind is minimal. As we anchor on the east side of the island, we’re protected from the strong afternoon sea breeze.

Weekends throughout the summer fill up quickly, so it’s important to secure your desired date as soon as possible.

Nautica Charters accepts no responsibility for weather changes; all charters will proceed unless it is unsafe to do so.

Unfortunately we’re unable to dock at the beach for you to leave the boat, as Carnac Island is a marine reserve.

Nautica is a 50-foot vessel with space for 32 people, providing plenty of room for your whole group. Our top deck is a tranquil spot for sunbathing or a peaceful moment away from the party.

Yes. Nautica is equipped with a USB speaker system. You’re also welcome to bring a DJ/band or hire one through us.

Of course. Please bear in mind that charter vessels are not fully licensed, so we are unable to allow unmixed bottles of spirits. BYO mixed cocktails, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks—we also have ice buckets available to keep your drinks cool.

Just make sure you bring plenty of non-alcoholic options and water to prevent a hangover the next day!

It depends what you’re looking for, Rottnest and Carnac are both incredible settings for a boat party. Choose Rottnest if you:

  • Want to visit an iconic WA location
  • Would like to hop off the boat and explore the island on foot
  • Have a full day to spend on the boat

Choose Carnac if you:

  • Are keen to experience wildlife (like the Carnac Island seals) in their natural habitat
