Setting off from Fremantle or Perth, Rotto boat tours run for a minimum of 7 hours. On arrival, we’ll moor up to any bay of your choice (depending on the weather and wind), we recommend Geordie, Parakeet, or Thompson, for your very own private Rottnest Island boat party.

Soak up the rays on our second-storey sun deck, swim in the crystal-blue Indian Ocean, and relax. If you’re into snorkelling, we can choose a bay with the perfect reefs for underwater discovery.

Rottnest Boat Hire FAQs

Rottnest Island is best enjoyed from December to April (summer to mid-spring) when the weather is hot, and the wind is minimal. Weekends throughout the summer fill up quickly, so it’s important to secure your desired date as soon as possible.

As an offshore island, the temperature on Rottnest Island is typically up to 5 degrees cooler than the mainland, and it can sometimes be much windier. Nautica Charters accepts no responsibility for weather changes; all charters will proceed unless it is unsafe to do so.

Rottnest Island offers all the best of island life, and it’s even better enjoyed on your own private vessel! Once we arrive, the choice is yours; stay on the boat for swimming, snorkelling, and relaxing in the sun.
Or, you also have the option of hopping onto the island or the beach. Your options are:

  • Beach walks along the pristine sand
  • Enjoying lunch (and live music if you’re lucky!) at the iconic Quokka Arms pub
  • Shopping at the local boutique and general store
  • Meeting a Quokka (the world’s happiest animal) and snapping a quick selfie (please never feed or touch the Quokkas)

Nautica is a 50-foot vessel with space for 32 people, providing plenty of room for your whole group. Our top deck is a tranquil spot for sunbathing or a peaceful moment away from the party.

Yes. Nautica is equipped with a USB speaker system. You’re also welcome to bring a DJ/band or hire one through us.

Of course. Please bear in mind that charter vessels are not fully licensed, so we are unable to allow unmixed bottles of spirits. BYO mixed cocktails, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks—we also have ice buckets available to keep your drinks cool.

Just make sure you bring plenty of non-alcoholic options and water to prevent a hangover the next day!
